Pangong Lake at 5am — Nothing Prepares You for This

You wake up cold. Properly cold. And you think about staying in the sleeping bag for another twenty minutes. Don't. Go outside. The light at Pangong that early is something else — I've tried to describe it to people and always failed. Whatever tour package of Ladakh you pick, make sure there's a night near the lake. That's the only advice I'd really push.
